thats how i am looking at it, atleast we played better then we did against MSU last year. It was a great game. But it still hurts a little. :(

Our problem wasn't even that Burke etc wasn't big enough. Our problem was that we let them do that EXACT SAME play 15-20x during the game (or, damn, it felt like a million times). Each time you KNEW they were going to get a basket. That made bucket at the end felt inevitable. Ugh.

Tom Crean's Tanning Bed

Yeah, it was the same play at the end as before, but it was defended just as well you can ask.  Falling away from the hoop, and got the bounce.

They got the bounce on their last shot; we didn't.  That was the ballgame right there. Simple as that.

This one is going to hurt for a LONG time.
The General has taken on a new command.

Great season.  If Matthews makes that short jumper it is whole different ball game at the end.  He didn't.  What a great final game.

Anyone wonder what could have been had we played a zone on that last play?  Easy being a Monday day quarterback I guess.   :(

do I dare say Crean got outcoached by an assistant?...ha

I knew Lopez was gonna get an easy shot at the end, was just hoping he missed it.  Turns out Burke did a great job and made him take a tough shot.  The guy made it, what are you gonna do?

Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

I totally agree. Burke played great D on that last play, but that frikin' circus shot just went in.

Regardless, it was the exact same play that they did all overtime and much of the second half.  You think Crean might be smart enough to address that problem after the 20th time they throw to Brook in the low-post.

i know ousmane barro

Woooo! We have a lot to look forward to- this is going to be a damn good team come 2009.

203 days until next year's madness.  Gotta be asked sooner or later, DJ on that tournament bound 2009 team?

Nope, cuz anyone could have coached Stanford.
