SoCalwarrior, I didn't see anybody taping the talk.  Very cool that it was captured on film.  After the speech, my wife leaned over and said that if the team got a similar speech, there is no way they would lose.  I guess she was right. 

My favorite part was about how the players, but especially the seniors, will leave it all out on the floor.  It was also cool that he noted the day, March 20, 2008, and that it would be a day remembered in MU history.

I thought the same thing as I was watching it.  That's a hell of a speech.  Made me want to play as well and I'm terrible at basketball.

Does anyone else find it a bit humorous that Stanford's head football coach, Jim Harbaugh, was in attendance at the pep rally for the team Stanford will face next?  AND wearing an MU shirt?!  Sweet...but rather embarrassing if you are a Stanford fan IMHO.

Too bad we are snowed in here and I doubt we will make it there tomorrow for the game.

This pep rally speech was much better than the one in 03 when our governor donned a gold shirt.  The sight of that gave me a sick stomach, and well, you know the rest.

Actually he pulled the shirt off after the MU game and then put on a Stanford shirt for that game....he did it right.  Stanford fans definitely get it.  I suspect tomorrow he will wear a non-descript shirt.  Tough spot for him, but he's already said he knows he will win and lose tomorrow no matter what happens.
