That was nice to read - I remember it well
I bought a copy of that SI issue on eBay a number of years ago, and I sent it to Al to see if he would autograph it.  After a month passed, I thought - oh well, he's probably just too busy.  Then one day, there was a package in the mail - YES - the SI magazine had been returned - and Al signed the cover - it' son of my prize possessions; he died like a year and later.

GO MARQUETTE!!!
