Got your attention?

This is just a reminder to bring your books for the 6th Annual Childrens' Book Drive at the Bradley Center, before the game.

I say Beer Money, because they will accept your cash, too.  So when you pass by the boxes in the lobby, take out one unit of beer money, and give it to Joani's cause, OK?

MILWAUKEE - Marquette and Wisconsin basketball fans can bring new or "gently used" children's books to the highly anticipated men's basketball game against the University of Wisconsin - Madison on Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Bradley Center as part of the sixth annual School Children's Book Drive sponsored by Women in Support of Marquette Athletics (WISMA).

Spearheaded by Joani Crean, wife of Marquette Men's Basketball Coach Tom Crean, and Gwen Cords, wife of Marquette Athletics Director Bill Cords, the book drive collects donations for schools and organizations serving children near the Marquette community. There will also be canisters to accept monetary donations.

"These events are very important to us because there is no greater gift a child can receive than to learn the love of reading," said Mrs. Crean. "We know that we have wonderful, generous fans, and we are thankful to have the opportunity through Marquette Athletics to help bring books to Milwaukee children."

This Saturday's game will be the 113th meeting between Marquette and University of Wisconsin.
