Halftime thoughts

Written by: Emmett Prosser

Marquette turned the ball over only three times in the first half, however the Eagles only forced six. MU fans have to be encouraged by the fact that the Eagles have a 33-29 lead at halftime despite shooting 35% and getting almost nothing off of their defense.

Marquette is not hitting threes (nothing new there), so a few early transition baskets in the second half would help open up the offense. Marquette had zero fast break points in the first half.

I'd make sure someone other than Ramel Bradley and Joe Crawford would beat me.The two players have taken 16 of Kentucky's 23 shots.

The two teams are a combined 4 of 16 from the ree-point line. The team that decides to stop shooting them first will probably win the game.

Are you pleased with Marquette's first half performance, or are you worried it will be another early exit for Golden Eagles.

Good news for MU fans...UK has comeback only twice from halftime deficits this season.
