Nu Shooz

Written by: Todd Rosiak

Anaheim, Calif. -- Any child of the 80s like me should appreciate the headline on this blog.

And any shoe aficianado like yours truly should also appreciate my effort to keep you hip on what MU is wearing on the court.

Converse has broken out its new Wade Brand Team Signature shoe, in a custom makeup that is only available to MU players. The general release of the shoe will be Aug. 15.

The players seemed to like them, and they look pretty cool. Only Jerel McNeal and David Cubillan weren't sporting them at the open practice Wednesday.

Here is a picture of the new shoes.

Those are pretty sharp - I like em!

Stylish without being over-the-top tacky.   I'll wear them.

I get that.   Throw in some Jesus and bad jokes...

I believe these are the first to incorporate the powder blue trim.

Can anybody recall what color jerseys we were wearing against both Alabama and Michigan State?

Big Papi

Real nice looking shoe.  I might have to get me a pair.

Since we were the better seed, we were the "home" team and wore white.  I'm expecting we'll be in white today.

I'd be surprised to see the baby blues against Kentucky's royal blue.

We could go in the gold

The gold would be cool today.  But, if I were king (or coach), I'd wear a different color each game.  Start with the whites (since this is the only game we are guaranteed "home" designation).   Then, if/when we play Stanford, they will be in white and I'd wear the baby blues.  Third round, the gold.  Then the navy.  After that, the BABY BLUES, baby!!
