I don't get Musburger's fascination, but he has a high hard one for Bucky all year and a man crush on Bo like it's going out of style.

Meanwhile Tom Oates of the State Journal went for the layup in the hometown newspaper and picked Bucky in the Final Four.

We shall see.

Musberger is one of the very worst play-by-play men in the business.  He repeats the same stupid points over and over again and will fixate his man-jonesing on one particular player during the game.  He is also an unabashed Big Ten shill.  How can anyone even remotely objective who watched that basketball abortion known as the Big Ten tournament honestly pick any of those teams to do anything in the NCAA tournament?

Has some really scrappy white kids from the State who werent recruited by anybody, in fact they were all Walk Ons who didnt play a game of varsity hoops until Bo saw them playing in a Wisconsin Valley Conference Football game between Rhinelander and Antigo.  Than Saint Bo took him in and told him that he will one day run the Swing offense like a pro, and eventually become a state hero.

Thats why Bucky is so great, but I am surprised you didnt know that

I think I saw that movie.  Was that "Hoosiers", or something?
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Would anyone be surprised if UW makes it to the final four? I wouldn't. Say what you want about them, but you have to admit that they are a solid team. If they can dictate their tempo and style of play, they have an excellent shot to make it to San Antonio. If they meet an athletic, up tempo, team like us, they are toast. They can't win a shootout.

Mods, Delete me please. 8/26/2020

I would be suprised if ANY big eleven team made it past the sweet 16.

I think MSU and UW have a chance. I'm writing off IU and Purdue as first round losses. I think MSU has the talent and coaching to do well in the tourney. I see MSU in a good one with Pitt in round two.

The minute UW comes up against a team with any kind of athleticism they're gone. Plus. remember Bo will be dealing with referees who don't think he's James Naismith.
As for Musberger, my favorite line of his came during the Ewing era at Georgetown. They were playing Loyola (I believe) in an early round and were about a 20-point favorite. Loyola hits its first two shots to take a 4-3 lead and Brent screams, "We could be on the verge of a major upset." The Hoyas won by 25. Classic.

Surprised....I would be flat out STUNNED.  There is a reason why the Big Ten Champion and Conference Champion...same team...got a 3 seed.

I don't like the Big Ten in this tournament. I think Baylor is going to go on a run based off their barely able to sneak in motivation so Purdue is out. Temple can physical right with MSU and even if Sparty gets by I think Sam Young is the best player on the court when they face Pitt. I've got Indiana losing first round.

As for Wisconsin, if they make the Final Four it would be very impressive. For them to get through any number of USC, Kansas State, Georgetown, or Kansas they would deserve more then just a Final Four banner.

Well, as the saying goes, "that's why they play the games".

I still expect to see 2 big ten teams this weekend with a good chance to make it to the sweet 16.
