On SportsCenter, Bob Knight just picked Pitt to go all the way.

You may begin flaming him.

why is it that hard to believe.  In the BE tourney, they beat a 2 seed (G'town), 3 seed (L'Ville) and 6 seed (MU) in the ncaa tourney.  I don't think it'll happen, but I've heard of stranger things...

In one of their games, Pitt is going to be stuck with refs who call the game tight and that is going to be a big problem for them.  Has been the case for them every year in their recent run.

Outside of the Big 12, how many teams has he actually watched?  My guess is that he watched the Big East tournament and was impressed by them.  I doubt he's taking the time scout teams that haven't played on ESPN lately.

Either that, or he saw that Pitt has a lot of guys from NY and every stadium in the US is their "house".  As Len Elmore said (about 600 times in 2+ hours), its NY pride.

It's not that much of a stretch.  Pitt has a very well balanced team and I believe they'll go pretty far in the tourney.  It has been said already:  Pitt has beaten a NCAA tourney 2, 3 and 6 seed.  Now I don't have them winning it all, but they'll go far without a doubt.
