and there we people saying how pathetic it was that after making the Final Four we couldn't even make the tournament the next year.  That no major program does that and we were making (infamous) history.

Hmm.  Since then Louisville has done that and now the 2-time National Champs Florida AND the runners up, Ohio State, haven't made the tourney.  I can imagine the excuses now... "but they lost their best players early to the draft..."  Yeah, I believe we lost someone in 2003 early to the draft too.  Can't remember his name.

But remember, as Crean deserves no credit for the 2003 Final Four, he deserves all of the blame for not making the tournament in 2004.
