Loss to Badgers/officiating brings Izzo to tears (link added)

I guess we're not the only ones that notice a trend of horrendous officiating and Badger bias.

I guess big slow white guys and future NFL DBs don't commit fouls.

Izzo is a good coach, but his act is getting old.  He reminds me of the Seton Hall coach.  Yup he got screwed on some calls, but his kids also turned the ball over a ton down the stretch and had a travel on someone who wasn't even being guarded.  Those issues were bigger.

I don't understand the sentiment that unless you play a perfect game it's okay to also be the victim of poor officiating.

First with the MU/Pitt game, now with the UW/MSU, there seem to be no shortage of people who rush out with the judgement that officiating can have no impact if you have mistakes of your own.

Yeah, MU shot poorly the other night--why should that excuse the net 6 to 8 possessions taken from MU and given to Pitt due to blatantly bad calls?  Yeah, if MU had shot better we probably would have won.  It would have been nice to know if we could have won despite low shooting percentage had we not ALSO lost so many possessions on bad calls.

Too often, fans blame officials for every call that doesn't go there way.  It gets tiring to view games that way.  But the game on Friday night was ridiculously poorly called and was one of the two biggest reasons why we lost.  The other, of course, is the fact that Pitt had guys from NY.

I won't say that games are not sometimes impacted by poor calls, I am speaking strickly about Izzo and how I am sick of his antics.  If you follow the Big Ten Network, this guy has pissed and moaned after every loss.  It is just getting old, thats all.

I bet if the roles were reversed, Bo Ryan's act would be even worse. Lucky for Bo, he will never have to worry about that.

There also seems to be a very fine line for coaches regarding officials and sideline behavior. Some people complain about the way Bo, Izzo, Coach K, carry on during and after the game while others say that TC doesn't carry on enough.

I think each case and each game is unique. In Izzo's case, I have never felt that his emotion is in any way contrived, but I can see how it can be irritating. I hated watching Rodriguez in the SH game.
