I dont care what the Committee says they do have an agenda for certain matchups.  Have you ever noticed that every year that all the Mid-Major are lumped together in the same sub-regional with one power conference team???

I understand the need for ratings and getting small teams out is a big reason why they do this, but do they have to make this so obvious!!!!

Last year Maryland was in a sub regional with  Butler, Old Dominion, and Davidson.
What are the chances we can get into one of them Dream Sub Regionals.

I am praying for    5 seed playing 12 seeded South Alabama, with the winner getting either Oral Roberts or Drake!!!!

Dream Scenario but I gurantee we are going to be with 4 power conference teams playing in a location way to close to the other teams

My prediction.

5 seed against Ohio State in Birmingham or somewhere only a 5 hour drive for southern ohio

Nate, when you make 10 or more "predictions" they really don't carry any weight.  Make one prediction, stick with it, and if it turns out to be right we can say "hey Nate nailed that one."  But when you make so many "predictions" .....

Nate, they use an S curve.  That's where Butler belonged on the S curve.

Now the numbers are often going to be that way in the sub-region bracket with the 4 seed because they play a 13 (usually a mid major) and next to them in the bracket is the 5 vs 12 (also either a mid major at large or a high conference at large).

So what your posting isn't really that odd at all, nor should it be.  However, it's also not always the case either.

You chose NOT to include the sub regional 4 and 5 bracket that had Illinois, Va. Tech, S. Illiinois and Holy Cross.  In that situation, one of the mid-majors was going down round 1 because they played one another.

In another subregional it's even more glaring.  5 = USC, 12 = Arkansas, 4 = Texas...all majors.  The 13 was New Mexico State, which I wouldn't classify as a mid-major.
