How Higgins?

How does Higgins get tapped to officiate in the semi-finals of the BET?  Not that I've done the research, but I'm reasonably confident that across the BE fan bases, Higgins is in nearly everyone's top three most despised officials.  There is a reason for that.  He's bad....consistently bad...on both sides of the ball more often than not.

In the NFL, the best officials move on just like the best teams.  Can Higgins actually be rated one of the best 6 officials in the league????????
