Amoroso's 18 points tonight versus #23 BYU.

Would have done a lot more than any of these guys combined:
Ousmane Barro, 1
Dwight Burke, 4
David Cubillan, 4
Dan Fitzgerald, 3
Maurice Acker, 3
Lawrence Blackledge, 1
Trevor Mbakwe, 0

But really, MU played a tough Pitt team who really have been playing well as JD had said.

Hate to see the "H-O-Y-A-S" Boyz get to flaunt their painted prepubescent chests without any chance of some Golden Eagle droppings splattering them, but what can you do.

Get some rest team and take it out on NCAA matchup #1.

I though Burke played pretty well, but any theories on why Barro didn't really play at all tonight?

One thing that came through loud and clear tonight - while this season is certainly not over, Hatward has to get much better defensively. Young abused him tonight (along with everyone else), which leads me to ask again...where was Barro?

i know ousmane barro

Oh wow he beat a bunch of mormons. Amoroso is a pansy. If he had any balls he would still be here, but he couldn't even handle Tom Crean's tough practices. We don't need players like that on our team. Speaking of idiot mormons, I'm glad his loser friend Matt Mortenson is gone too.

I should have added this: [sarcasm]

I wouldn't want Amoroso on this team, but his performance (in a loss to BYU, in fact) shows the glaring weakness of MU's bench: lack of scorers.

bench smench - when 4 of your starters dont make a field goal in the 1st 20 min. Dont blame the bench.
You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

Oh really? True, LH and DJ struggled.

But did you see anyone step up their scoring?

The bench was 4-15 from the field and contributed 3-9 from 3PT, not to mention 4-9 from the line.

Two made field goals, one made 3pter, and one made FT and this game (points wise) was ours.

I know..."Coulda, woulda, shoulda" applies to lots of situations, but that's why you need a bench to pick up when your starters need a "push".

Some other thoughts:

- DJ couldn't find his rhythm, and I hate that this game had to be the last game he played before the next NCAA because his shot is going to BUG him.

- Barro not producing is trouble.
