I seem to recall taking a small portion of the many bad things I've said about Higgins after a game a while back as we got a helpful call from his sickly sounding whistle.  

My bad.  He is downright awful.  I especially appreciated the replay of McNeal's 4th from the Higgins vantage point....the one that so plainly showed the Sam Young chicken wing.  

Oh, and regardless of who calls the game tomorrow night, I predict Sam Young will be whistled for a travel on that shot fake.  There were a couple of times tonight where there was air under those feet (not that Higgins youthful eyes could discern that)...Georgetown will get that call.

In a standard game one should not even notice the referees and two or three questionable calls are forgiveable. But in a game where the ref is a complete assmunch drawing attention to himself at the expense of the game the league should take notice

Steve Lavin just called higgins one of the best veteran officials in the NCAA.  Ugh.

Here is a crazy thought...Pitt shot 133 FTs in the Big East Tourney v. 67 for their opponents.  I know GT started to foul early last night but take away 10 or 15 and that is still really uneven...maybe someone (higgins) was on the take.

Bob Knight's comment on Pittsburgh was along the lines of Pitt needing to get the right referees f they want to adavance.  If they get refs that let the teams play they will be tough to beat.

Well, if Higgins is one of the best veteran officials, it is time for all the veteran officials to retire.

I just heard that they are making Higgins wear a number on his back to make him more identifiable: 666 - because he IS the devil and must be destroyed!
