Play like crap under the bright lights?

Warrior

Good Question. Lets turn this around in the first 5 minutes of the 2nd.

only a warrior

 ;D ;D

No negative waves.....

What a great game.  Win in prime time, Shrek fouls out.

Go Warriors - kick some Panther ass tomorrow.

we "played like crap" and still won...does that just mean nd played crappier?

Big Papi

Well I guess we don't play like crap under the bright lights and this team can shot at times.

Why do some .....oh never mind.

Lets all be happy we won.

we can't shoot. Period.

See what happens when you comment too early?  MU shot 51.7% from the field and 36% from beyond the arc.

Our Better is better than their better.
Captain, We need more sweatervests!  TheManInGold has been blinded by the light (off the technicolor sweatervest)

After first half, great adjustments and energy.  What a different team.  TC, with the exception of Acker, kept his starters in.  Fitz played an awesome five minutes early.  Trevor, Trend and Cube saw no PT in second half.  Maybe Burke also.  Starters played together as a team and made some incredible clutch shots.  Great second half effort.

Lets see if ecompt can post something positive now or if he is just a glass is half empty type of guy.

Yep, time for me to eat some crow. These guys proved me wrong in the 2nd half and I'll gladly admit it. This is a huge win folks. When is the last time we freakin won back-to-back conference tourney games?

nyg

Sometimes crow tastes good though, right?

My box score says 52.5 percent from the field and 37.5 percent behind the arc.
Either way, I'll take it.

Apparently that statement should have included a semicolon rather than a period, as in:
"We can't shoot. Semicolon. Except when we can."

ozmetal71

The last time we won back-to-back conference tournament games was in the 2002 C-USA Tournament.  We beat Louisville and Houston and lost to Cincy in the tournament championship.

GREAT WIN!

this team can look so bad at times a so good at others.  tonight was a perfect example.

NavinRJohnson

Tonight just confirmed what I think we already knew, that MU is just plain better than ND.

When Crean called a TO with maybe 13 minutes or so left, that was a pissed off as I have ever seen him in front of the world with his players - Barro in particular. From that point on, we played very, very well. Great defensive effort in the second half, hit some big big shots, and made FT's (sort of) down the stretch.

Can't wait for tomorrow.

timinatorx3

rel took over for a while there in the 2nd half... so glad we were actually able to prove we are better than nd with a win, something we all knew all along. huge, huge win and lets get pitt tomorrow.

ecompt

They proved me wrong. Fantastic second half. I still cringe when Cubes is in there (whatever happened to his shot?) but this has become Jerel's team and he has played tremendous back-to-back games. Sorry for the knee-jerk reaction at halftime. Stupid on my part.

For me, Acker is the guy that makes me cringe.  He hit two HUGE threes tonight, though.  Got good contributions from McNeal, James, Matthews, Barro, Hayward, Acker and Fitzgerald last night.  When that many of us play well, we are a tough out.

Cube has lost complete confidence in his shot.  Doesn't really want the ball.  Looked like he didn't want to shot it when he chucked up the 2 he did but he was wide open and had to take a stab but really never had a prayer.  Its just a real good thing Acker has stepped it up.

Looks to me like Cubes has lost not only his confidence but his mechanics.  He's sticking his ass way out during his shots.

Hey Brew, what are you doing checking out his ass?  ;D

BrewCity83

He sticks it out so much, I almost couldn't tell it apart from that thing on top of Harangody's shoulders.

I wonder if he has tired legs after playing all that ball during the summer.  He definitely still gets after it on defense though.
