His shot seems off right now. We need him to get it going if we want to make a nice run in both the tourneys. Plus, it seems like if his shot is falling it fires everyone up and everything just starts rollin for MU.

Yea, he's definately a spark plug when he's out there and making plays!

I agree about Cubillan, but, to me, the biggest missing ingredient is useful minutes from Fitz.  Last year that guy could provide a real spark from time to time.  It seems his defense and rebounding have improved, but his shooting ability seems to have vanished and that ability is the main reason he has a scholarship.  We could really use him to stretch a zone.  I guess that injury really took its toll on him.

Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

The two of them combined did absolutely nothing last night. Cubes at least plays defense, but if the two of them aren't hitting outside shots, there is no real reason for them being out there.

I've mentioned that before on this board - and did you catch the stat that Fitz scored 40 in two BE tourney games last year?  I wonder how many games you'd have to put together to total 40 points for him this year.

I'd rather see Blackledge in the game over Fitz....good energy, better rebounder, better finisher, better defender, and can spark the team with a thunderous dunk.

My only issue is that he seems like he is making the decision to go for the thunderous dunk when the more conservative decision might better serve the team.

completely agree.  besides scoring and ball handling, Trend brings more to the game in almost every facet... rebounding, defense, blocks, quickness.  And since Fitz hasn't been scoring and he's really not good at ball handling anyway - there's no reason to play him more than Trend.

I also agree that we may be better off with Blackledge in the game than Fitz....my guess is that Fitz will still get the first shot at PT but if his first or second 3PA do not go down he'll get pulled quickly...he is an absolute liability when his shot isn't falling.

Heck I'd be happy if he'd just attempt a shot period.  When you are a supposed to be a shooter and you're too scared to shoot, might be time to hang them up.
