Syracuse back in a bubble bath

Written by: Emmett Prosser

With Selection Sunday approaching fast, some teams from power conferences are about to find out that they are a bit too short to ride the March Madness roller coaster next week.

It appears that Wednesday's game between Syracuse and Villanova might be a NCAA tournament play-in game for the Orange. Win and they are probably in. Lose, and they might have to wait in the back of the line until conference tournaments are completed.

This is nothing new for Syracuse. They have become America's favorite bubble team the last three seasons.

Two seasons ago, The Orange knocked Cincinnati out in the first round and played themselves off of the bubblle by winning the Big East tournament. Last year, Syracuse was among the last teams left out of the tournament.

Is your team currently safe or walking a thin line? Check out the current ESPN bubble watch and Joe Lunardi's bracket math
