Tie game with 2:30 left.

If Seton Hall loses we play them.  If they win we probably play Cincinnati.

MU to face Seton Hall

Written by: Todd Rosiak

The Marquette Golden Eagles learned Sunday afternoon they'll face the Seton Hall Pirates in the first round of the Big East Tournament, at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Madison Square Garden in New York.

MU (22-8), seeded sixth, has already played 11th-seeded Seton Hall (17-14) twice this season and won both games -- 61-56 on Jan. 8 in Milwaukee and 89-63 on Feb. 12 in Newark, N.J.

The winner of that game will advance to face third-seeded Notre Dame (24-6) in the quarterfinals at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Interesting that if we manage to advance, our first 3 opponents will more than likely be our 3 mirror games from this season (SHU, ND, and UL). Should help from a preparation standpoint - especially since we play the 9PM which doesn't leave much time.

Daniel

I would like to get past Seton Hall and beat them the third time.  Then we can concentrate on ND.  There are no gimmes in this tourney I fear.

We have to play ahrd and tough - and our defense must return strong.  And oh yeah - we better hit the outside shots and rebound :)
