Has MU announced a date and time for the open scrimmage that they usually hold in early October?

Haven't seen it yet. Last year it was announced September 19th so I'd imagine it should be soon.

Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

One of my daughters noticed that that was on the basketball schedule posted on the MU website.

Always thought this would be a great parents weekend event.  I think it would draw a packed house.

Great. If DO truly earns a starting spot with an outstanding preseason, it will make us a taller, more athletic, deeper and (IMHO) better team.

Agreed. Nigel, Adrien, Damarius, Royce, Sananda is long, athletic, capable both offensively and defensively, and a starting 5 that you'd want in a competitive BE.

If DO struggles, you've got Nolan or Phillips, or a plethora of other options if they make themselves usable in big spots.

If the new PG can play(Colin), you've got guard depth beyond NM for Nigel and Adrien. If he can't, you save NM for the backup guard spots.

That's your team. Then you hope Josh and Caedin can spell Sananda effectively enough.

The remainder of the roster of Nash, Ian, Alex, Caedin, Ethan are depth pieces that have to earn anything they can scrap, or show enough chops to chisel into the above minutes.

Seems like a pretty straightforward rotation given the abilities and experience this season, which is good for Shaka imo.
There were a ton of unknowns, but the closer it gets to the season it they dwindle, which again is good

Now it just remains to be seen how good all the "new" difference makers can be- I count Sananda, DO, NM, Phillips, Colin all in this group- and how elite the returning future and current stars can be.

Except Shaka's gonna play 18 for 40 minutes every game, more in the ones that go into OT.

No wonder Flory Bidunga didn't choose Marquette.

Yes Agree this would be awesome for Parents weekend. We used to go to the Xavier scrimmage with our daughter and family when visiting Xavier for parents weekend too. Great times.
