Planning to go to that game as part of my annual MU hoops trip. It's the third home game in a 6-day span, so lots of quality time in Milwaukee in late-February! I wasn't thinking I'd have to buy tix to the Nova game way in advance, but I guess I will.

What will be the new term for a fifth year player?  Will freshman, sophomore, junior, senior still be used?
When Nigel breaks Markus's all time Big East scoribg record, will there be an asterisks?

People are still referring to records from the era prior to freshman being eligible.   Will the grumpy old guys (say, MUGEagle99)of the future say Nigel's record shouldn't count while drinking their pumpkin spice latte GLP1 smoothie?   Perhaps some 2056 message board denizen will be arguing against getting the vaccine to prevent all forms of cancer because if it had existed 40 years prior, Markus would never have come to MU.

I think someone calculated why Markus's record would've beaten George Thompson's, Jerel & Lazar beating it had reasonable asterisks and Jerel even said as much in an interview once.

Sad, the one true achievement in this prigrans history is 50 years old.  Those of you old enough to actually have witnessed it and remember it will be dead soon.   The only thing close since then is nearly 25 years old. The best recent years have brought year-end collapses by overrated teams.   Hard to believe anyone still can have an ounce of passion for this program.  Add on top of that what a mess college sports has become and it may be time for MU Hoops to just pack it in.  Devote the money to bringing down the ridiculously inflated tuition rather than on a program that peaked a half century ago.

Is an E8 not close? 64>32>16>8>4>2>1 it's 50% and that rounds up. I don't think anyone would disagree that 5-7 others teams could've done much much better and should've been competing for a FF or championship.

Genuinely curious how many teams you think shouldn't pack it in. I mean your reasoning is MU only having 1 championship and it being ancient history but only 16 teams have more than 1 championship. 3 of those (San Francisco, Cincinnati, & Oklahoma St) are even older than ours. Is it your position that only 13 teams should play?
