Vander Blue Man Group

Quote from: MU82 on May 18, 2026, 05:53:41 PMIf Nigel suffers an injury that keeps him out of games, we're effed. It was always gonna be that way. We weren't gonna go into the portal and snag a good PG who'd have been willing to play backup minutes.

But if Nigel gets in a little foul trouble and we need somebody to play 3-5 minutes and keep things moving, hopefully CC can do it - especially as the season goes on and he gets acclimated. Here's hoping, anyway.

Adrien and Nolan should be able to give him a breather as well.

Yessir. For the upcoming season, CC is a depth piece. That's how I'm looking at it, anyway.

If he gets a couple minutes each half in some games like Norman did, I can't imagine him doing any worse, at least offensively.

Inexcusable by Shaka, we need All Big East backups to our All Big East players... no drop-offs...

Finley Bizjack comparison?

The Ben Steele interview shows the kid is not lacking in confidence and has quite the chip on his shoulder.
Fearless and cheerful because it is so much fun.

If Colton Crowdis becomes Finley Bizjack by his soph season that would be massive. I don't know when to expect Nigel's NBA process to start but I think it could be as early as 2027. CC could be the long-term replacement for Nigel at PG.

It's impossible to tell if this kid is a project or not at this point but I like that he's a combo guard to give him more of a path to minutes. It's hard to view anyone as more than a 1-year contract for MU, but I think Shaka's policies towards retention will keep wholesale roster turnover from happening most seasons.

Juan Anderson's Mixtape

I don't view Nigel as an NBA prospect.  6'0" guards with questionable shots are very much out of vogue.

Nigel is more valuable in the college game, where he stands to make more money over the next three years.  Which is hopefully a win-win for both Nigel and Marquette.

I don't view him as a draft or early entrant prospect, but I could see him being the rare 6-foot player that makes the NBA because he does have really impressive athleticism. He would need to develop a consistent three point shot and improve his passing, but if he can add a couple NBA level skills, that athleticism could help him catch on for a bit.

The next four years, however, college will definitely be more lucrative for him.

If he doesn't play as #45 we riot.
