Jay Bee has long had a schtick that Sheek transferred because Sheek believed that he was going to be behind Caedin on the depth chart this season.

It has been widely reported that the actual reason was that SLU overpaid him after they struck out on several of their portal big men targets. This led to some claiming that Sheek was promised a starting spot at SLU.

SLU beat Nebraska in an exhibition yesterday. Sheek didn't start and only played 11 minutes in that game.

Jay Bee is insinuating that because Sheek doesn't appear to be a starter at SLU, people were lying about Sheek being overpaid by SLU and being promised a starting spot, thereby leaving his schtick as the acutal reason for the transfer.

Others are pointing out that Sheek being beaten out for a starting position, doesn't actually disprove that SLU paid him or promised him a starting gig. All it actually means is that if SLU did overpay Sheek, MU was correct not to match.
