Are Wichita St's players that short?

Good luck Zaide.

You were Shaka's guy, but you left in the middle of the night all spry.

Hope the future holds some glory away from the Milwaukee sky.

Interesting to not even mention that he was kicked off the team only a third of the way into his third season.

This kid can play and I think he'll do well wherever he ends up.

I agree with this analysis.

SchnitzelBoy

Best-case scenario: Zaide ends up at SLU and puts in a 2nd-team All-A10 season.

Most-likely scenario: Zaide ends up at Mizzou and rides the bench hard.

Worst-case scenario: Zaide ends up at DePaul and puts in a 1st-team All Big East season with three different 20+ point games (with game winners) against MU.

I think he ends up at Missouri St, puts in a decent but not dominant season with a lot of highlights on a bad team.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

I'd be surprised if he didn't end up at Missouri State.

And transfers up to a P5 program next year.

He's entering his final year of eligibility (unless he tries to file a BS "it isn't fair I was dismissed from the team so I didn't get to use a full year of eligibility" lawsuit, which likely wouldn't prevail anyway).

He had every opportunity to prove this at MU.
Wish him well, but I'd be surprised by a Jamal Cain-like leap.

Thanks. Yeah, I miscounted a year.

Yes, but we were surprised by original Juan Toscano Anderson leap as well as the Jamal Cain leap.  So, anything is possible.

Juan Anderson could play defense from sophomore year on.
Jamal Cain could play defense from junior year on.

Zaide couldn't defend as a junior and then left the team midway through the year.

Let's not forget the Juan Anderson high school mix tape that showed all the potential.

At first I thought perhaps he'd redshirted as a freshman.

But yeah, he'll file a suit. Darren Heitner is probably sliding into his DMs already.

The Juan Anderson leap came when he was 27 years old and five years out of college. Not sure that's comparable to what's expected of Zaide Lowery next season.
Also, Juan didn't pout and then leave the team when he got benched midway through his junior season.

Yup. He ended up being about the same big-time contributor to Marquette hoops as Magic Dawson was.

I am not saying it WILL happen.  I think he has a lot of tools. I accept that sometimes a change of surroundings can lead to a change in approach which can lead to a change in results.

Not always a good thing. Scoop has a lot of tools as well.

But... as for Zaide.. in the right spot, could have a monster year. He's not THAT GUY from a usage perspective.. but could he find his way on a MM where he's up to say 24% and does it pretty well? I think so. Hope so too, for him.
