Such incredible circumstances led to Murphy managing the brewers. Who knew we wouldn't want anybody else?

Quote from: TSmith34, Inc. on October 15, 2026, 10:46:45 PMHeck, I thought you could see the Dodgers' sphincters tighten up when the Brewers got it back to 4-2. They were looking like, "OMFG, not again."

I had that exact thought. Once Jake hit that double, their entire team looked like they had already lost.

Wow. Still hard to believe. Waited my entire lifetime to see this. Can't believe it is finally here. 4 more wins to finish the job.

What's even more amazing is that the Brewers had a bunch of uncharacteristic errors and Miz and Chourio weren't particularly good in this series.  They're truly a complete team.  Obviously the Milwaukee bullpen going medieval was the key to choking out the Dodgers.

Braun inserting himself into this is so on brand.

I'll admit I'm a bandwagon Brewers fan.  For Scoopers that have been lifelong fans for many years, congratulations.

The organization has brought in a lot of the 2006-18 Brewers through the playoffs.  Braun has been used on the jumbotron during playoff games.  Been interesting how little they've had any of the '82 team involved.  Higuera throwing out a first pitch was about as close as it gets

I have been rooting for the Brewers to take the NL, I would have really liked an I-94 World Series.
Lost a Marquette friend last fall who was a huge Brewers fan; can't help but think she is up there in heaven giving them an extra push..

Love this team.

I hated 3 outcome baseball. I have always considered OBP to be the most important stat on offense. HRs are nice, but OBP is where it's at.

I do wonder if that will change. Can't imagine we won't see Robin for instance. Unless they are just too old and don't want to be bothered.

Congratulations to the Brewers and their fans.

Congrats to the Brewers!

I'd be all-in for the Brewers against 28/29 other teams in the league. But...that one remaining team...I'm still hoping we get that matchup in the Series.

Oh, no doubt he'll be there along with a handful of others.  Too bad Ueck and Henry Aaron couldn't see this

Literally was talking to my Dad during the Padres series about how Braun has basically nothing to do with the Brewers and probably hasn't been to Milwaukee for 5 years.  I'm sure last night was a function of him being able to just drive from wherever he lives in LA.

Pretty awesome that the WS matchup will either be two teams who have never won a title or one of those against a team who hasn't won in 80 years.

(I think, at least) Braun's done at least one of the "alum games/home run derbies" in the last 2 years at Miller Park and continues to have community events in Milwaukee. He's been around. I just found it funny that of course he had to walk right behind Jeter, Papi, ARod, and Burkhardt while the cameras are rolling to dap them up.

Juan Anderson's Mixtape

Reading this thread, there were times I was wondering if the Brewers were getting swept.

MLB might want the Brewers and Dodgers to play the other 3 games, just to be sure the Brewers deserve to go to the World Series.

I have to imagine Selig will be involved in some way as well.

I saw that 47% of Brewer at bats ended in 3TO

The other three games won't matter since the Dodgers already won the 2026 World Series.

Seriously, though congrats to you Brewers fans.

Because of walks - not HRs.

Job one of virtually EVERY hitter is to avoid making an out.
