Quote from: withoutbias on Today at 04:46:01 PMLooks like Unleash is tying one on mid day, mid week again.  Must be in another time zone again!

Oh look, its the idiot who has never gone on vacation!

And it's 4:50pm on a Wednesday during championship week. Work was done 3 hours ago guy, sorry you're stuck at a desk.

Quote from: #UnleashJosh on Today at 04:41:38 PMOne guy qouted that Kolek and Oso stayed even though they could receive "bags" from other schools. Even though schools were only allowed to directly pay players since 2025. But ya!

You can't be this stupid.........then again.....

If you don't think Kolek and Oso could have made serious money elsewhere you have been asleep for 4 years.

The money was available through collectives ............why do you think Chucky Hepburn left UW for Louisville .....the weather?

Ps Schools started paying players " directly" on July 25 2025.........so by your logic nobody was getting paid before that? Ok dude.......🤦🏻♂️

Quote from: Vander Blue Man Group on Today at 04:43:43 PMIt's cute that you don't think Kolek and Oso had offers to go elsewhere.

Kolek would have had to risk that the legal battle with the NCAA went the players way to transfer in 23-24. He wasn't going anywhere. Silly goose.

Irony on the stupidity. Kolek wasn't going anywhere, transfer rules would have made him sit out until mid December.

Quote from: Vander Blue Man Group on Today at 04:58:57 PMAnd Oso?

A senior who was predicted to go in the first round of the draft, who's success and potential skyrocketed under Shaka's coaching , who had huge chemistry with the starting pg (and the 22-23 Big east POY) with a crazy pick and roll 2 man game, who just won the Big east regular season & tournament.

Do you think he was going to transfer somewhere else for an extra 200k, and possibly hurt his draft stock in a new system with new teammates? Staring in a local commercial for some pizzeria chain on the east coast would have totally been worth it!

Honestly, the more you post on this topic the more ridiculous you sound.

Oso absolutely had other opportunities after his JUNIOR year.

And if you don't think Kam was highly sought after you're delusional.

Lol.  Dude, any idea how much Memphis paid PJ Haggerty?  Don't think they'd want someone just as good who is also a hometown kid?

You should probably sit this one out.  Kam and Oso would've gotten paid a lot of money heading into their senior years by other programs.  They are way better than players who made millions by transferring every offseason to the highest bidder.

What were said opportunities for Oso, please list 2-3 at the least.

You are aware that this is the 1st season that players are being directly paid by the schools correct? This changes the game a lot, and we've only seen a single off season of free agency for the Ncaa.

But you're an expert on it!

Weird how Memphis would have paid Kam, since he never played in the era where schools could pay players.

So guys were just transferring to 4 schools in 4 years and not getting paid? You think basketball players just started getting paid to play at their schools this year?

This is some good trolling. Kudos. Only explanation. Not even Willie is this out of touch.

Who said players were NOT being paid? They were just being paid much less, and in more difficult ways

Kam, oso, and kolek were being paid for their likeness from numerous locations. Kam even did some car wash meet a few blocks away from my house.

Why would Kam or Oso transfer out of their star spots, while already having their NIL deals in place, to go to another school for a similar NIL deals?

Now they can be paid directly. And that changes a lot of things.

Are you this naive about most things? Anybody could pay any college athlete for whatever they wanted to. Not that the NCAA actually polices anything, but the rules make it much harder for players to get NIL money now, which is where the biggest money for basketball players is.
