I think it is a matter of pride to at least salvage that out of this dreadful season.

If we do, then we will not have a 20 loss season including the one loss in the BET and if by some miracle a loss in the NCAAT.

Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

It would surprise me if MU wins an away game this year.  Not that it's impossible, but when you sort at Torvik's site, conference only, away games, MU is dead last in the conference.  There's a good chance at X, and maybe GTown.  So maybe 2.

Upside?  We're # 4 in the conference when you sort for home conference games.  But, we've only got UConn, DePaul, and St. John's at home.  We should take DePaul, and maybe stun the Johnnies to complete the 4 wins.

Possible?  yes.  Probable?  no.

mu_hilltopper

No.

3 Home: StJ, DePaul, UConn.
4 Away games: Nova, Xavier, Gtown, Providence

Certain losses:  @Nova, StJ, UConn.

Current record away from home: 0-10

Can MU go 4-0 @X, @GTown, @Prov, and home vs DePaul ?   Three road wins?

I would not take that bet.

Right now my main goal is to not be the late Wednesday night game at the Big East tournament...

Ugh! This could be worse than our '63/'64 season.

But a great season to  build relationship with fellow Scoopers.

MU will pull the ultimate shocker and win the BE tournament. Ben Gold will come alive, averaging 18 and 10 shooting 43% from deep.

Forget the 63-64 season, this could be our worst season since 40-41!!!!

AHHHHHH!!!!  BURN DOWN THE FISERV NOW!!!!!!111111oneoneone

On a more fun note, I just realized that if we can get 3 wins yet out of this season, then as a winning percentage it wouldn't have been Dukiet nor O'Neill's worst season!  ;D    I think 3 wins is doable.   4 is more of a stretch.

Billy Hoyle

1-2 at home (W v. DePaul, L to STJ and UConn)

1-3 on the road (losses to Nova and Gtown, then one of X or PC - I think X is more likely).

Funny thing though, I'd even pass on all those points and merely accept the kind of defense he put up this weekend.  He looked great!

I'm not writing tomorrow off just yet. We played Nova pretty close at home and I think we match up pretty well with them, certainly better than St John's or UConn. In addition, Shaka is 3-0 at the Finn. If we're going to get one of those "we beat WHO?!?" kind of results I think tomorrow is the most likely one.

Shooter McGavin

I'm with you Brew. I think tomorrow is doable.  I also don't care about road games that have already taken place as predictive of future outcomes.  The team is paying better.  The talent is young and getting better.  The seniors hopefully have nestled back into their supporting roles.  IMO this team can get 5 more wins.   No teams besides UConn and St. John's seem insurmountable.

They were playing better @DePaul right?  And @Butler?  And @Seton Hall too.

But OK, you can put your head in the sand.

DePaul? Nah. The other two? definitely.

To answer the question. I'd guess we win 3 more games the rest of the year. But it really depends if we snag one of the next two road games. I think if this team can get one on the road, the lid will come off and they'll win at Georgetown and Providence.
