Sudden death OT, the only way for this game to go.

This is as elite of a sporting event at the highest level I think I've ever seen.

It could have easily been 4-1.  CH has been phenomenal.

We are fortunate. Outplayed.  But here we go. Let's get it. Go Quinny!!

I think I go Larkin, Q. Hughes, and Baldy?

Yep.

Doesn't get better than this.  In any sport.

Pakuni

Settling this 3-on-3 is unfortunate.

I disagree!!!

GOAL!!!

Love the result, but a game with these stakes should be settled by real hockey. You wouldn't want the NCAA Tournament to be decided by a 3-on-3 game.

I mean Canada completely outplayed us, but great goaltenders can individually send the dominant team home!  I like the 3 on 3.  Makes it more exciting.

Not a bad weekend for the Hughes family.

Hellebuyck saves 41 of 42 shots against that lineup, but McCavid - with zero points today and on the ice for both U.S. goals - is named tournament MVP.
Make it make sense.

February 22 was already the best hockey birthday thanks to the Miracle on Ice. This doubled down on that. What a start to the day.

WTF????

It's worth reiterating how sick that goal was by Boldy in the 1st p.

Good question.

Why not give the guys a bowl of gnocchi?

MUeng

What a game, the second half of the third period was pure nonstop action, so fun to watch! Team USA! I also like the 3v3 sudden death. The rink can flip at any time and that's what we saw. So cool.
