I think Burns gets it done.  He has been close before.  New baby gives him clarity.

Quote from: Uncle Rico on July 19, 2026, 08:11:34 AMHow do you know he's a good dude?

He comes across that way in his interviews and I heard him on a podcast.    Super chill.  The guy has an unusual swing to put it mildly.  There's no reason to attack the young man.

Uncle Rico

What a shot by Bryson.  He's doing this for the troops and the Save America Act

Has he ever supported the troops?

His first 6 holes will be key.  If he gets to -12, I like his chances.

Young with a 29 on the front.

15 is a bitch.  What would you hit there?  I would probably hit my 3W.

MuggsyB

Scheffy would be up big if he made some putts in the first 3 rounds.

He's never winning another major.  Facts.

Missed another very makeable putt.

MuggsyB

Burns with a really poor chip there.

MuggsyB

Burns is having a real meltdown.  Scheffy in major trouble on 13.

Tournament now WIDE open.  I like Fleetwood.

MuggsyB

I'm predicting -11.

MuggsyB

We're witnessing some crazy stuff.  See Woo is the only one seeing well.

MuggsyB

I dunno....could -9 hold up?

MuggsyB

#490
Bryson triples 12.

MuggsyB

NBC should be embarrassed with their golf coverage.  The amount of commercials is insane.

MuggsyB

Absolutely brutal luck fo Fox there.  Young may win this outright at -9.

JWags85

Cam Young is REALLY good.  He's currently a top 5 ranked player for a reason.  He's been knocking on the door of Majors the last 3-4 years, so him finally winning wouldn't be all that surprising.

But I don't think anyone, including Young himself, would have anticipated his first win coming in a major where he started the day 5 strokes back, dropped a shot on 18, and finished 3 hours before the leaders...oh and at a score that was 2 shots behind the leaders at the time

MuggsyB

Incredible resilience from Fox.  I think he needs to birdie 17.  18 is basically a bogey hole.

I think he started 7 back.

MuggsyB

Wow.  Crazy back to back horrible breaks for Fox.

You're totally right, I was thinking Fox was the leader at 8, totally forgot about Burns at -10.  Even more absurd

It would be a world class par if Fox gets one on 18.  And about a 10% chance for Burns to birdie.  Sam was unlucky on his drive on 17, but the first 6 holes is where the tournament got away from him.

MuggsyB

What a drive!!!  That dude has been money!  Fox has played the best by far since Young posted.
