Too bad the wind is going to lay down for the leaders.  Could have had some Saturday carnage.

Yes.  Very unfortunate.

MuggsyB

Hopefully Clark bogeys 9.

MuggsyB

The guy just won't miss putts.  Very upsetting.

MuggsyB

It will have to be a Norman like collapse for Clark to lose this tournament.

Give the man his due.   Take him off  and it looks like a classic US Open leaderboard and the question is whether the winner finishes under par.  He had a super hot streak Thursday as the wind died.  He has made it stand up.

The heel has gotten it done.

The best round of the day was in the morning when the wind was brutal.  No one within 4 strokes of Clark put any pressure on him.  That said, he's dominating.  That was a sick shot on 16.

Everyone else is scoring like it is a US Open.   So has WC for the last two rounds.  Thursday hot streak.

Grillo shot a 67 in the morning.

Getting to even.  Passing many players.  US Open.

If a 67 was out there in the morning, it begs the question why none of the leaders could muster a challenge?  Maybe the greens baked out?

tower912

The 67 was low round for the day.   Somebody had to have it.   Pretty typical.

Clark is -1 over his last 38 holes.

Well, I don't see him losing a 7 shot lead.

I think I would've finished 2nd this weekend.

Even when it's a golfer I like, it's not all that enjoyable to watch a Sunday runaway in a major. And Clark's not in that category.

Here's hoping he's skittery - in the fescue all day, and yippie on his putts!

He's been incredible.  So many chances to go off the rails on Saturday and kept staying on track.  That shot on 16 was on the razor's edge.  Half a yard right and he's staring at a terrifying bunker shot.  But he pulled it off when no one else did.  The par save on 10 when half the field was bogeying or worse.  Not a fan or hater, but do appreciate when a player suffocates the field like he is.

With the wind down on Sunday, he'll have a player or two possibly "charge" to -3 or so but he's going to have to start missing those par putts for anyone else to have a chance.

Data golf says 71% chance to win, but it feels much higher than that.

It's only a few pennies

It's closer to 87.7% from my calculations.

Golf.  18 holes.  JB plays pickleball.   Coincidence?

There's definitely a low score out there.  But it needs to be executed with WC shooting 73.

MuggsyB

Not the start Scheffy wanted.

MuggsyB

We could have an opening for Burns?

MuggsyB

Gargantuan break for WC with that lie.  Damn.

MuggsyB

The par saves from Clark have been crazy.  Very unfortunate.  :(
