If the above saying is true then surely the opposite is as well. Not only are we now 0-7 against power conference opponents, but we've also failed to cover even ONCE in these games.

Against the spread, Marquette is currently 0-6-1 vs high majors. (Some sites have us 1-6, but the discrepancy comes down to only a single point in the OU game.)

In other words for those who don't speak Vegas: Marquette can't even lose by less than what we're projected to each game — we almost always do worse. How much worse ? Enough that Marquette has lost the spread by an average of 11 points across seven games. So in case it wasn't already glaringly obvious how bad we are, this should help put things into perspective. Someone can double check me on this, but it's very likely that Marquette has the worst ATS record vs high majors of any power 5 team currently.

All that said, I wouldn't encourage anyone to take up gambling or sports betting. But if you're already in that arena and looking for a relatively safe bet you can count on, well...
