Who among disappointments do you like most to turn it around despite struggles?

Royce
Caedin
Zaide
Demarius
Sean

Voting closes: December 27, 2025, 08:08:44 AM

Leaving out seniors.

Leaving out Nigel and Adrian as I think everyone mostly in agreement they've shown a lot of upside already.

Leaving out Josh and MP since little playing time and first year players.  Plus, many like their skill set.  They rightly haven't been given any disappointment label yet.

Please don't get me started on Tre if you think he should have been an option.

I still like Royce the most to take the biggest jump forward.

I voted caedin. His EGB output is unparalleled. It's all going to click for him once he gets up to 20,000 hook shots

Let's face facts, they're all elite in EGB's.

We may not be winning games, but we're sure generating a ton of egbs!

I just can't get there on Demarius. That balloon ball looking 3 shot looks ridiculous.  Air balled one at key moment in 2nd half Wednesday of course.  Goes off the wrong foot on his drives.  An athlete without basketball skill, especially at this level.

Shaka.  Holding out for him to fire Nevada Smith and get a proper people and ball movement offense installed.

I hope they all are league leaders in clarity of purpose.

we have a roster that should be cutting, slashing, back dooring...yet we rely on 3's. It's cray. Ross, Owens, Steven's, Phillips, even Lowrey...pick n roll, constant motion. But no, jack some 3-balls.

Though, teams have been playing zone quite a bit against MU.

If you can't make 3's in today's game, your ceiling is limited.  Motion and pick and roll are nice, but not as important as hitting 3's at a good clip.

Daniel

If we are going t rely on the 3 ball then you must recruit and land elite shooters. Give us some Novaks and this offense can crank.     In general, the offense creates good looks.    We just don't hit the shots.

Omaha is a friendly place to play for struggling offenses. Seems like a shooters gym. Always a lot of points there.

I'm more worried about our non existent defense. They may score 100.
VIOLENCE!

Nevadas offense is not the problem.  It still generates great looks at the rim and from 3.

Shaka just recruited terrible fits for that in his first 2 classes, and we're seeing that now that they're upperclassmen.

Thankfully we've got some more natural drivers and shooters in the underclassmen and incoming.

The offense is not fine.  There's no ball movement, no easy buckets, very little people movement, too much dribbling and it's very easy to defend against MU's system.  Greg McDermott (god forbid) has a better offense than MU and that's just a disgrace.  MU has more talent than half the teams in the big east, but no system to get buckets.

I voted for Caedin. He's clearly struggled early and has earned his criticism.  If he can get some stretches together, develop some confidence, he can be a difference maker just on his size alone.

But there is a lot to work on, obviously.

I admire your saying this.  It's a very unpopular opinion to hold right now here.  But I agree with you.

He did.  They're just either glued to the bench (Philips), redshirting (Miletic), or just got to campus (Walker).

The offense has to better once those guys get on the floor.

I'm not sure I can hold out hope.  I hate to say it but I enjoy watching the Badgers this year.
