Quote from: GB Warrior on July 02, 2026, 06:59:09 PMHere's my thing. What would you have thought the Sixers had to attach to dump PGs salary, irrespective of the JB of it all? One valuable first? Two?

That frames how bad this trade was.

Boston was fuming Jalen just as much as Philly was dumping PG.

Celtics couldn't afford 70% of payroll on 2 guys.  But George's contact is fairly large also so I would be surprised in he plays out the rest of his contract in Boston.

They are still paying that much. It's just one year closer to it being an expiring deal.

It's simultaneously funny and sad that the second apron forces these completely illogical basketball decisions

Yup.  Players went from just about any solid player getting a max contract just because to now Jalen Brown being a bad contract all so they could smoke some weed.

Brown will soon be extension eligible - 3 more years at even more preposterous $$$. And if the Celtics didn't give it to him, he might have been a malcontent. So that might have factored into Stevens' decision.

Problem is, they'd probably have to take back as much $$$ as George makes to trade him.

BAM!

LAS VEGAS -- Former Miami Heat teammates Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro got into a physical altercation in Las Vegas on Friday morning, during which Adebayo struck Herro in the head area, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

The altercation occurred at a practice court in a Las Vegas hotel, according to sources. It started when Adebayo approached Herro about comments the guard made, critiquing the center on social media after their seven-year run as teammates in Miami ended when Herro was traded to Milwaukee. ...

After Herro was traded to Milwaukee, there were screenshots shared online of an Instagram direct message with a fan in which Herro appeared to question Adebayo's defensive prowess.

Pretty comical that Turnstile Tyler would question any other player's defense.

Maybe, but Tyler's dad is a staunch defender of people's right to use whichever bathroom they are most comfortable

Doesn't seem like the smartest decision for TH to mess with Bam.
