I must have missed that. I've seen numerous mock drafts and have never seen him mentioned. The Athletic has him #93 on their big board.

The only concern I have is that outside of 2026, all of those picks are five plus years out. There is really no way to determine now how valuable they are.

4 years, 185 mill for Reaves.  Is the salary cap increasing?  That sounds like a crazy number.  Especially considering how he looked in the playoffs last year.

My favorite kind of NBA trade.  The thunderbolt out of absolutely nowhere.

Melo and Ant is gonna be amazing to watch or a disaster, not sure which yet.  At the very least, the TWolves are gonna be good for about a dozen highlight reel Melo to Ant lobs a season.

Exactly my initial thought - could turn out great or be a sh1t show, but will be an entertaining watch.

Minny definitely needs a big. 

LaMelo is ridiculously skilled and can play on or off the ball. The issue is decision making and whether he will accept his usage going down.  That said, it will be fun to watch. Can they actually play together or will they just be taking turns?  You would think they will get better shots playing together, and the rest of that roster.

Apparently, the Wolves had been inquiring about Ball's availability for more than a year. They really wanted to pair him with Edwards.

For the Wolves, it will come down to Ball's health and his maturity level. When healthy and happy, he is a dynamic offensive player - truly a gifted passer and a creative shotmaker who has improved as a 3-point shooter (though perhaps not enough to take as many as he does). But until this past season, he spent a ton of time on the injured list, and he also has a history of selfishness and moodiness. My friends in Charlotte say he appeared to have "grown up' a lot last season, really liked Lee as a coach. He is a "defense optional" kind of guy, though.

As constituted, Minnesota probably had gone as far as it could. There was no way the Wolves were gonna beat both OKC anc SA in the playoffs. I guess they figured it was worth a shot to shake things up.

The Hornets got Naz Reid, who has become a good player and had turned himself into a team leader with the Wolves; I've read accounts calling him the Wolves' "heart and soul." So I guess they'll miss him. I would have thought the Hornets could have gotten more draft capital for Ball, but I guess not. This certainly opens up playing time for Christian Anderson, the Texas Tech PG they just drafted, and also clears some salary.

I did see one funny comment on an article about the trade: "Car insurance rates in Minneapolis just doubled overnight!"
