Thankfully Dallas drafted based on romantic relationships and not basketball ability!

These teams are both ass. Wish we could just get a best of three in seven game series between the Spurs and Thunder to determine the title rather than having to watch the JV league play for the right to get smoked by that winner.

NY is going to win in 5 or sweep both of these teams.  Rooting for Detroit but they've been a total disaster through 16 mins.

I do think the Knicks could give SAS or OKC a series though.   They have a big advantage playing inferior teams before the Finals too.

I'd bet you the Cavs get at least 2 against NY if that's the matchup. Real chance to win that series too. Same Knicks team that was down 2-1 to Atlanta.

I don't see it.  The Knicks have also been a different team since they went down 2-1 to Atlanta.  But I hope you're right and I'm wrong.  What an absolute Ostrich Egg Detroit is laying.  Extremely disappointing.

Eh. They played a bad Philly team. I could be wrong but I don't read anything into that series. Detroit and Cleveland are levels above Philadelphia.

But whoever makes it gets smoked by the west winner

Ya...that would be my guess as well but I'm concerned OKC and SAS could beat each other up in a grueling series.

Btw, I believe one ostrich egg has like 25-30 servings.  At minimum we're talking a 24 pack of regular chicken eggs.   :)

Detroit can't have Ausar Thompson on the floor trying to come back from 20 down.  They literally don't guard the guy.

Gonna be a rough night for Detroit fans.  What an absolute abomination.

I don't think this much time off is good for the Knicks actually. They were rolling.

I guess we'll know soon enough about the whole "rest or rust" debate for the Knicks.

However, they are undoubtedly thrilled that the extended time off let OG Anunoby heal fully from the hamstring injury that had sidelined him. He had been playing outstanding basketball before he got hurt. The Knicks didn't need Anunoby to beat Philly, but they'll need him the rest of the way.

Ya...that's a definite concern for Game 1.  But I don't see Cleveland winning this series.  Unless Bridges and OG are colossally brutal.  Mike Brown made a great adjustment in the ATL series.

"Abomination" isn't quite the word for that performance. In fact, I cannot think of an appropriate word for what I watched until the 8 minute mark of the 4th quarter last night. Did they all book non-refundable vacations to Punta Cana for today?

14 wins in 23-24
44 wins, first round loss in 24-25
60 wins, second round loss in 25-26.

Definitely choked in game 7.

Ah, well. Lots of progress.  Hopefully lots of learning and growth.  What pieces do they put around Cunningham going forward?
Fearless and cheerful because it is so much fun.

If Durant actually cared about winning, Detroit would be the perfect team. Their biggest need is a high volume scorer who can shoot from anywhere.

They also choked in games 3 and 5. But I can chalk that up to youth and earning their playoffs stripes. But the complete failure to show last night is inexcusable.

Let Cade play a Ty Haliburton role - have a pure PG and another stud scorer like the Pacers have in Siakam. Cade is too turnover-prone to be the primary 1. Jaden Ivey was supposed to be that until he ripped up his knee.

Detroit definitely needs another scorer and someone who play the 1 to alleviate some pressure on Cade.  That said, last night they were an absolute sieve defensively.  They're really caught between a rock and a hard place with Duren.  I don't view him at all as a Max player but some team will pay him.  They have a lot of tough decisions to make moving forward.  Harris is not a #2 and if Thompson doesn't become a threat offensively their ceiling is limited.

MuggsyB

Ouch.  Fox injured and not playing tonight for the Spurs.

Wemby's ceiling is crazy.  If the young man gets stronger?  It's a quadruple uh-oh.  We could be looking at a Blue Whale vs Krill situation.

Impressive performance thus far by SAS.  Tremendous physicality and poise.  SGA looks flustered.

Heck of a game.  Clutch FT's from  Harper.
