The White Sox/Cubs pope beef was intense for like 3 hours.

He's from Dolton and naturally a Sox fan (not sure how/why Cubs fans would have thought otherwise).

Because they're Cubs fans. He could've been born, raised, and educated in St. Louis and Cubs fans would still find a way to think he was a Cubs fan.
