mizzou and Georgia going out not that surprising. Pitino is 72 going on 55 and can smell a natty. He's hangin' around. Not even sure he recruits at this point. He chooses.

That obviously isn't true. I mean, Pitino chose to bring Walter Clayton with him from Iona to St. John's ... but Clayton chose to play closer to home at Florida, where he has become an All-American.

Here's what Clayton said at the time ...

"Obviously I've been with Coach 'P' two years and [associated head coach Steve Masiello] for one year. Leaving them, it's kind of tough. But, overall, I'm a feel guy. I go big off feel — it's about what I feel. Honestly, I feel like [Florida] is the better choice. Basketball is going to be great at both schools. It just feels better at Florida. I feel like they were genuine recruiting me these past few weeks. They've been consistent. My feelings shifted over these past couple of weeks. Every time I would try to put my mind on St. John's, my feelings shifted to Florida."

St John's is a freight train that wont stop until it gets to San Antonio.  I'm not betting against Pitino and his guys.  They wear your ass down over the course of 40 minutes.  This team is a legitimate title contender.
