Game time just announced via MU X account. Disappointing time slot ... but understandable since SJ will have the conference title wrapped up.

Home Bucks game that night limited our options.

What's the closest the two have ever played?

I assume we were limited to 11 or 1, but has it ever been pushed closer than that?

If by just announced you mean approx 2 and a half hours ago.

Don't love the start time for those who will be in attendance, but works out for me as I have a huge pb tourney at 5pm that day.

The time slot will also help reduce the numbers of MU students headed to the ER with alcohol poisoning like what happened on National Marquette Day.

Or will it?  The early tip time ensures that students won't be sleeping too late.  Ya can't drink all day if ya don't start in the morning...

I have done the Warriors/Bucks doubleheader a couple times, and the closest I have seen is 1:00 / 7:00.

Closest ever I remember was in 2002 when Marquette upset #4 Cincinnati at 11am. Bucks played the 76ers at 4:30 on NBC.

Wow. MU students have leveled up from the days of Edward 40 Hands:

At the residence halls, staff confiscated 47 BORGs (black out rage gallons) — gallon jugs filled with hard alcohol and flavored water — and had to start telling dozens of students to go outside and dump them once it became too overwhelming to confiscate all of them.

If I remember correctly, a keg (if you had the barrel) of Busch light was $40 when I was in school 2006-2010

Incredible deal
Bring back FFP!!!

I'm really showing my age with this, but we had Wapatula parties. You brought a bottle of dirt cheap booze and poured it into a large galvanized bucket with the other donated hooch. Fruity crap was mixed in to make the swill a little more drinkable. Wapatulas would do their work quickly.

In 1997-98, my roomates and I would get kegs of Coors Banquet Beer at Badger Liquor up on State for $33, cheaper than Busch Light kegs. Our parties were known for having "good beer."  ;D  ;D

we did that too, usually with rum, vodka and random kool-aid packets in a giant cooler. At one party we ran out before 10 pm but had a line of people waiting to get in so my roommate used a bottle of Czech moonshine my friend's family made in their attic. That batch lasted the rest of the night. I ended up talking to a freshman girl at that party I've been married to nearly 21 years.

I had to look it up too. It started as a TikTok trend. Shocking:

A borg, or "blackout rage gallon", is a gallon-sized jug of alcohol, water, and flavoring. It's a popular drinking trend among college students that originated on social media.
Ingredients
Vodka, or another type of alcohol
Water
Flavored drink mix, like Kool-Aid or MiO
Electrolyte mix, like Pedialyte
Caffeine

BORG was new to me too. I figured it is today's equivalent of a case race that was done by some (idiotic) folks when I was at MU 84-88. They had their own personal case of beer and aimed to drink it within 24 hours. I'm guessing kids make their BORG gallon and that's their drink for the night and beyond. But, I'm just speculating.
