Who cares about the players. That's a hardship on setting my fantasy team  >:(

Quote from: MU82 on May 13, 2026, 11:51:46 AMNFL announced its slate of international games for the 2026 season:

Week    Matchup              Location

1    49ers-Rams          Melbourne
3    Ravens-Cowboys      Rio de Janeiro
4    Colts-Commanders    London
5    Eagles-Jaguars      London
6    Texans-Jaguars      London
7    Steelers-Saints      Paris
9    Bengals-Falcons      Madrid
10    Patriots-Lions      Munich
11    Vikings-49ers      Mexico City

Obviously London will always happen and does very well.  Same with Germany and the track record of being NFL mad over there.

Australia makes sense, especially with a lot of the cross over players (a decent number of OL in addition to punters.

Rio has went well the last few years and the time zone alignment is helpful. Same idea with Mexico City with a longer history.

But France is so bizarre to me.  It will sell-out or near to it cause its not hard to cobble together a capacity crowd of ex-pats from France/Germany/Spain/UK plus travel from the US.  But in my numerous trips to Paris, Ive never seen any indication of an interest in the NFL.  NBA?  Absolutely, jerseys everywhere.  But the only NFL mentions I ever get from French culture are sneering at its inferiority to rugby.

Spain is funny too, only cause its 2 non-internationally appealing teams in another non-NFL crazy market.

Expect a game in Sweden in the near future. Its a ticking time bomb of fanatics thanks to the popularity of a certain young budding star.

Packers-Rams playing in first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game.

There was some thought that Seahawks-Bears would be the NFL season opener, but the Patriots reportedly will visit Seattle on the first Wednesday instead. Bears-Seahawks would then be on MNF later in the season.

It really must be maddening to be a Steelers' fan. Hiring McCarthy and brining back a clearly over-the-hill Aaron Rodgers all to do what? Finish 9-8 and get trucked in the first round of the playoffs?

They had the opportunity to make a complete organizational reset and simply refused to do so.

To play devil's advocate, McCarthy did go 12-5 three times in Dallas. Once Rodgers retires, they could get a nice reset with a guy who can develop QBs in a couple of years.

But yeah it feels like the Steelers just trying to make sure they stay competitive but not actually contend.

OK, I could buy the argument that bringing in McCarthy isn't a bad idea, BUT why would they stick with Rodgers at all?  He's not very good.

Aaron Rodgers QBR rank over the last four years:

2022: 26th of 31
2023: injured
2024: 25th of 32
2025: 23rd of 28

One year mentor to Allar and Howard maybe. I don't think you bring back Rodgers if your goal is to contend. If it is, it's obviously misguided.

I'm not sure Allar and Howard are the guys. I think they'd be better off being bad to get someone in 2027 draft. This feels like a Herb Kohl Bucks move to chase the 8 seed.

I think McCarthy is fine for that org if they had any sort of intelligible plan at QB. To your point, I don't know Allar is anything but a dart throw. But I'd rather that than Rodgers at this stage in his career for all of the reasons you've cited.

If they are truly interested in a quarterback to mentor another, Tyrod Taylor or Kirk Cousins would be better choices than Rodgers.

Are you suggesting you don't want Rodgers mentoring? What if the rookie QB is also a sociopath

Rodgers decided he didn't get enough shine last year and his resigning didn't get enough pop...so he's gotta get the retirement announcement out there before training camps so he can get a full 9 month cycle out of it

I have completely forgotten about that racist nincompoop, except when a Scooper brings him up. Then I remember him for 2 seconds, only to forget about him again. He's really not worth remembering.
