I don't care about his personal life, but the way he treats the media and fans like idiots is annoying. I mean, who need therapy/counseling for an "total innocent" interaction with a woman? (maybe he's being treated for girl kooties?)

All the NFL coaches treat the media like idiots and the media allow it because they don't want to lose access.

As a Packers fan, I like the options in coverage extended media provide but the one downside is, the Packers are savvy enough to give access and allow extended media to schmooze with the coach.  Pics of LaFleuer having dinner or drinks with the extended media abound.  Smart on the Packers part as this relationship becomes less adversarial.  Criticism of LaFleur is swatted away by these people.  I wonder why.

Patriots are the most savvy in dealing with the media.  Leaking the AJ Brown news to distract, having Vrabel give a presser unannounced until late while reporters are covering player availability.

Access = stories, just not the ones that might make the shield or team look bad.

Actually I think the Patriots are handling this very poorly. It just seems strange to have the Pats say that Vrabel will be missing day three of the draft. Can he not start counseling when the draft ends? Are days one and two so important than he needs to be there?

I won't say Vrabel should be fired, but the way this has been handled, that's a rough situation moving forward to have that guy be a trusted leader. If he had owned it from the get go, I'd feel differently.

Yea, before the story died down a bit I feel like I saw it was more or less ascertained that his wife was the one who contracted the PI who ended up getting the pictures.

That could be speculation that was debunked (that I didn't see) but it would certainly track with the developments on his end.

Are her kids actually Vrabel's kids? Did he feed her information that led to any player getting treated differently? Can his coaching staff in good faith fully trust him? How will players respond to disciplinary actions given by Vrabel moving forward? Agents that fed Russini info, will they trust the Pats now? What about that weird off year when he worked in Cleveland?

Best thing Vrabel can do right now is probably leave for a season.

IMO, he should keep his job. If this doesn't affect the team or his job performance, let him continue.

I get that it is a story, but it's kind of none of our business what he does in his personal life.
