Watson has separated himself from the rest of the WRS. Golden needs to step up.

Time to halt any expectations on Wicks & Musgrave.

Did people have expectations for Wicks or Musgrave?

Musgrave was a 2nd round pick, so yeah.

I mean I guess. But it's year 3 and he's shown nothing more than being a bad NFL player at this point. Any expectations for Musgrave going into this season were misguided.

Given how much he's been injured and how many games he missed his first two seasons, it was still very reasonable to expect he'd show a lot more if he could just stay on the field.

But JJ definitely is not "him"

Its kind of remarkable.  I feel like every game he's terrible, has one drive where he looks good to very good, then goes back to being terrible.

Quote from: Jockey on Today at 07:03:38 PMShedeur banged out a 13.5 QB rating today.

Surely he has earned another start or two.

In his defense, not many QBs see their first official NFL action in a mid game situation where they have literally don't have time to finish a 3 step drop.  He certainly wasn't good but the lack of protection he had was breathtaking.  And he got them inside the 30 with a chance to tie the game and the refs actually missed a blatant offsides on 4th and 5 where he got blown up yet again without a chance to do anything.  The Browns are such a dumpster fire that if you put Drake Maye under center he'd be struggling right now.

My expectations as a fan current is I'm happy they're not "bad"

Though ben johnson gave kevin warren one of the game balls today so I'm back out on this org.

Back to going to church on Sundays times exactly to kickoff like I should be

Really psyched about Packers win today. Showed a lot of heart.  Not your ordinary Super Bowl contender that goes and steals one on the road against a 2-8 team, with an interim coach in his first game.  Throw in doing this against a journeyman backup QB with a losing career record and without their two best playmakers.  Tip of the cap to Hafley and LaFleur. Holding on with a late int is no small accomplishment.  Let the good times roll.

Quote from: Pakuni on Today at 05:34:07 PMSam Darnold back to seeing ghosts.

He was brutal, by far his worst game with Seattle. He personally gifted the Rams 14 of their 21 points, and that doesn't count the scoring opportunities the Seahawks lost because of the INTs.

The Seahawks have an elite defense, a great WR and some other good pieces. If Darnold avoids being Bad Sam, they are easily a playoff team; if he can be Good Sam, they probably are talented enough to go all the way.

They almost survived Really Really Bad Sam today, playing on the road, against a team many observers were calling the best in the NFL. If he's even average, Seattle wins that game.

So it will all be about Darnold going forward. The Vikings ultimately found out last year that was a bad thing. Hopefully, the Seahawks don't find out the same this year.

Good thing for Hurts has had a stacked roster around him all through college and the pros, because boy does he stink at throwing a football.

It looks like a tough weather night.

So is that 0-5 on 4th down for Detroit?

The Bears are obviously fraudulent, with -6 point differential and their .279 strength of victory percentage.

They have trips to GB, Philly, SF still to come, and they certainly can get drilled in those three road games.

Will they make the playoffs? Maybe? I do believe though that Ben Johnson is learning a ton. Making actual adjustments that are working, scheming for two minute drills with success, and maybe (just maybe) there's hope for the future?

I figured you would be the one to defend Shadeur.

Give Johnson a good GM and the Bears could be a serious team.

Pakuni

That was not a very good call.

forgetful

Quote from: Pakuni on Today at 10:29:47 PMThat was not a very good call.

The Eagles get more beneficial whistles than any team not named the Chiefs. It is ridiculous the calls they get, and its been a thing for years.
