Where did I dispute I wrote it? You are simply assuming something that it doesn't say.

Man, you are hilarious when backed into a corner. Dishonestly abounds.

Quote from: wadesworld on January 14, 2024, 12:39:12 PMCould make a decent enough career backup I guess.

He said about JJ McCarthy, before he was even a Viking.  Obviously he'll have plenty of opportunity to prove me wrong, but when your college coach's strategy is to not allow his QB to throw the ball to win games, I don't have much faith that QB will be worth using a first round draft choice on.

How'd he do?

The time for that argument Wentz away.

Jonathan Taylor takes a lot of pressure off any quarterback.
When we stop talking, really bad stuff happens.

The Bears are without their top 3 CBs Sunday. I predict a big game for Jackson and a very desperate Ravens team. Ravens -7.5 seems like a good bet.

Next man up. The Seahawks played 3 straight games without 2 starting CBs and a starting safety. The Lions were decimated by injuries last season, and the 49ers have been injury-ravaged this season. That's life in the NFl.

Feel free to take the free money and bet on the Bears. I'd guess the money line would be very attractive to you.

Oh, jfc, nobody is being dishonest.
You blamed the Vikings' record on the decision not to sign Darnold. I pointed out the myriad other issues behind their poor start. That triggered you, and instead of responding to what I wrote you chose to attack me personally. Which you do way too often when anyone here dares to disagree with one of your hot takes.
Man, maybe ask yourself why that is.

I mean, if your position is that Daniel Jones is better than broken down Carson Wentz, you'll get no argument from me.

Your arguments shifted and are lying about what I said. So calling you dishonest is 100% accurate.

Darnold is fine as a QB but when he gets pressured, he starts seeing ghosts.  He was terrible in their loss to the Lions to close the season and against the Rams in the playoffs.

The Vikings decided to go all-in on a rookie QB contract and rely on the all-world wideouts and defense.  Their failure is on the offensive line and a defense that has regressed this season.  A top-5 defense last year is middle of the road this year with a leaky secondary.

I get trying McCarthy.  He was your round 1 pick in '24.  They saw first hand how far Darnold can go.  It doesn't look like it'll work but there's no guarantee this team is as good record wise as last year if they keep Darnold.

Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another; do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.

"The Vikings could have easily signed him to a cap friendly deal and not have had to franchise him. But they turned to an unproven, and apparently injury prone rookie, and have already exceeded their regular season losses from last year."

Right. Never claimed it was the sole reason.

Hard to tell if or how much the defense has regressed this year. The Queen's offense is no longer able to chew up big chunks of the clock to keep the ball out of the hands of the opposing offense.
