Great point.  This is as much if not more a mental disaster than a physical disaster.

I blame Shaka for that last basket. 3 timeouts with the ball on the sideline with 3.2 seconds and you don't draw something up? Why?

You want them to waste a timeout to draw up a play going 3/4 of the court in three seconds? What can you do besides get Kam the ball and drive?

and this season is smelling a lot like the 2019-2020 letter writing season,  possibly worse if they lose this game.

Hard to shoot with two hands on your throat. Really sad to see from a group that you would think the mental part would be a strength.

We're getting mostly good looks. The defensive intensity shows up most days. But they aren't shooting with confidence.

And you see a lot of uncertainty offensively from just about everyone other Royce.

Agree a timeout then would be dumb.  Of course, Shaka was probably like me and assumed Chase wouldn't pass it to the only DePaul player who could get the shot off, rather than a teammate

Right. No doubt. But that's not n Shaka.

So much rotation of players and lineups hard to get any consistency.  Part of the problem I think.

Pretty lazy play by Kam and Chase at the end of the half. A real lack of focus. The struggles continue. Outside of the opening dunk, Ross has been fairly invisible. They need more scoring from him. Norman and Jop's three misses were so bad it was a little shocking. Probably need to shorten the bench a bit, even though Hamilton made the best pass against the zone. Would have helped my blood pressure if they played 40 solid minutes. Maybe we'll get 20.

Can't sleepwalk into a game coming off three losses. Should have been ready to blow the doors off...which suggests we just aren't very good right now as Paint Touches illustrated today.

A 50 point half would be nice right now, though I guess we should just be looking for the W.

I'm expecting this team to come out and play with max intensity in 2nd half.  They cannot be happy with that half.  Doesn't mean we'll be able to make a shot, but the defensive intensity had better be the highest of the year.  If not, then this team is finished.

3 for 15 from distance.  Most were pretty wide open.  Our putrid shooting continues to kill us.  But we have not attacked with force/authority enough.
