Less than 48 hours after an emotional, two-shot loss, they are on a plane to face a very good team on the road.

Honestly this is a recipe for a very long night.

STJ does not shoot the ball well, but they are very athletic, play defense aggressively, and rebound well. STJ will be a very tough matchup.

I don't believe strongly that MU is the best team in the BE.

More like MU, SJ, Creighton and UConn are all good but not great........we can win the conference but we aren't the favorite........SJ is.

1- I would guess Marquette won't have as many rebounding opportunities with as much as they tickle the twine from deep.

StJ will miss a lot of shots, so Marquettes main concentration has to be defensive rebounding and boxing out/clearing out. Cannot allow the Johnnie's to O rebound and get easy putbacks.

2- Marquette will be the favorite at 8pm tonight

Stats say the Johnnies defense is elite, will be the toughest we've faced this year.  Even better than ISU.

We can beat them, but it's highly unlikely we'll torch them.  I'll hope for the unlikely regardless. 

We'll see. Not exactly a murderer's row they've played. Kenpom offensive ranks for every opponent below. This will only be their third game against a Top50 offense. They were completely shredded in one of their other games (Baylor).

St. Johns is beatable but we need to bring our A game all game long.

Which was still a 1 point, 2OT loss.  On a neutral floor.  Hah

And their defense has been improving since then.  They have 3 losses by a combined 5 points.  It's not their amazing offense keeping them in games.

If MU can "break" their defense, we win easily.  If not, it's likely a close game.

Yes those 2 are certainly likely.......unfortunately St John's is a great offensive rebounding team and MU is Leah at defensive rebounding..........SJ also defends the pick and roll tremendously and will be the best or one of the best defensive teams we have played.

We might win.....I hope we do......but we aren't the favorite.....but yes if we are ahead when the game is over I guess we would be the favorite then......

I don't know why it's so hard to look at things the way they are as opposed to the way we want them to be?

On Saturday the way it was supposed to be and that way we wanted it to be lined up perfectly, but what was supposed to happen was just a dream.

Have a good feeling. Need Joplin to regain the magic at the 3 pt line. Saw some of it against UConn.

Same with Kam. "Killa" Kam plays looser and more fearless. Lots of those shots aren't 100% conviction from the 3 line.

It really does feel like they are way too much in their heads and not "hoopin" like last year. Target is off for now--get back to feeling like you have a chip on your shoulder and have some fun out there, guys!
