I was fortunate to get a good chunk of Mike's time earlier this week where we covered lots of ground, from financial challenges, to revenue sharing to MBB scheduling.

ARTICLE LINK HERE

It's lengthy so if you need a TL;DR
  • All Big East teams have agreed to revenue sharing
  • Fiserv option picked up, so lease already extended
  • MTE set for next season

A brave new world and unknown from tier out there.  I get the vibe that there are more questions than answers going forward.  The same questions that are tossed around on a message board. But they actually have to thoughtfully and deliberately come up with answers for them.  Answers that benefit as many as possible.   The players and the school.
It feels like they are working without a net.  Very blunt on the notion that they may choose a path but be adaptable enough to pivot quickly if it isn't working.   I appreciate that mindset.
I appreciate him admitting to not having all the answers.  But also addressing the questions head on.

QuoteWe think there may be some lessening of (NCAA) restrictions around what you can do with jersey patches and things like that.

Alright, sounds like it's time to put those muscoop user fees to use and sponser a jersey patch!

Why would mubb want to be associated with Scoop?

Plus, if scoop subsidized players, could you still say they suck in a game thread?

I am fine with a lot of change in college basketball but please keep the Maui.

Reminds me of a thing I saw a while back when John Green (an author, but I think he also has some tech/gaming company or something) was asked the stupidest thing he's ever done with his money. He sponsored his favorite soccer team so that when he played FIFA he'd see his company's logo on their uniform. Scoop should do the same.
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

I'm here in Jersey but how many on Scoop go to both MU and Buck games? Are there that many more concessions at Buck's games than at MU? I just quickly glanced through the article and may have misunderstood.

Yes. I'm pretty sure the Jack Daniels bar behind my section is only open once or twice a year. NMD and UW.

Options are pretty slim upstairs outside of marquee weekend games, and even that's 50/50.

Why would it be a contest if we already know who would win
