How can there be people that haven't filed their 2021 tax returns?

The answers are sociological, philosophical, psychological, and political.  Since part of the answer is political, I shall not discuss it further.

"Those that haven't filed their 2021 tax returns may also be eligible".  This along with the people who did not cash their checks apparently.   I don't get it.

Maybe they've been under audit for the past 8+ years, so they really don't know if their taxes had been finalized or not.

Honestly, if it ever happens....I hope a bomb is detonated right above where I am standing and I become transformed into one of those "nuclear shadows" like the ones in Hiroshima. I would not want to survive.
