Quote from: Goose on November 15, 2024, 09:28:53 PMVery nice win. I think the freshmen are going to push Joplin for playing time by BE play.

If his play doesn't improve drastically, I agree Goose.  Parham and Owens look ready.  Gold hasn't been great but he at least doesn't make bone headed play after bone headed play.  Jop just makes some real head scratchers...at least 1 or 2 a game.

Huge program win ... had it won, virtually had it tied ... and found a way! Can make another (bigger) statement with the Purdue game. I'm drained ... in a good way now.

Goose,

I can't stand Willard.

He's here! He's there's! He's every-f'in-where!

I will say, massive block at the end by Jop tho.

But yeah that's my issue with him. Even in his best games. Against any team with a pulse even in games where he makes huge plays. Its probably 60/40 in terms of helping or blatant sabotage.

I agree, it is fun to beat him.

Just glad to bank the first of 2

We can't forget his douchebaggery at the Hall.

Got to do more drugs to celebrate and have turtle soup, so delicious. Manatee bacon on menu for breakfast tomorrow.

What blows my mind is that it seems like Joplin does not lose his confidence. I have no idea how he can dribble into traffic, make one handed passes and hold the pose on a three with confidence. He held the pose on one that zero chance of going in and that is strange to me.

Hopefully the freshmen push hard and plays within himself. I like Jop but he is way too sloppy with the ball imo.

I disagree.

Make sure your players know the situation and exactly what to do and not to do.

One of the great mysteries is how a great shooter and scorer like Kam Jones can be so terrible at the FT line late in close games.

He's just not very good overall.

It's def a mystery. But some games it's tonight and at Creighton in the TK game.

Other times he bricks them early.

I'd like to see Jop get more catches closer to the rim.  He can use his strength more imo as opposed to trying to be Carmeloish.

I read this as "Carmel-loish" and I've no discovered a word that makes me feel gross.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.
