Something is wrong or someone is looking at something wrong. There is not donation fee's on single game tickets.

There sure is a donation on single game tickets. You have to get to the last step on the check out process and it pops up. I have video and screenshots of it and asked my other STH friends if they are seeing the same, and they are.

Litehouse

I didn't get the donation thing.

I do not blame them for high prices... have at it!  Get all you can for the program and let the market figure it out.

Good lord!  Anyone check out the prices for parking?

I assumed it would be the normal astronomical prices... but since you have to purchase them through ticketmaster, it tacks on $7.90 service fee, a $6.00 processing fee, and $3.79 in taxes that (if you bought it on site) normally would be included.

You've got to be kidding me!   $18 extra for the luxury of pre-paying for parking   :o

That was a fun 7 minutes.  Be part of the market, there are alternatives in the greater Milwaukee area.

So it appears different people are getting the donations added and some aren't. Makes the experience of purchasing even better.

MUbiz

Update - I am no longer seeing the donation added on - it appears they got rid of it and my guess is it was an error on MU and Leerfeild

Well in this case the "price" is the same, but since they changed HOW you purchase it, there's now all kinds of extra costs not included in the "price" per se.

You have a point though, this is basically just paying higher market demand prices.  But since I'm guessing there is little/no benefit to MUBB, it's more of the theme that they're providing less services and fewer benefits, while adding costs and hassles onto their STH's that don't need to exist (rather than it being a market pricing thing).

This was me earlier trying to get 2 Nova upper deck seats 2nd to last row.

I think trying to capture the secondary ticket market $ and at the same time disgusting STH so that they don't buy extra tickets is possibly by design. If non-STH want to pay those prices MU should find a way to capture that revenue instead of letting STH who already have their tickets sell their extras and making that $ that MU used to pass on.

Now that there is so much interest, single game tickets are not going to be so easy.

Understandable, but in my case, I buy extras as gifts for Christmas and birthdays and don't sell anything on open market.

I talked to someone who said the fee was an error. Looking at it, I think they applied the season-long donation to every individual seat. When I log in now it's been corrected, but that's irrelevant because I no longer need the seats. The MU fans I was buying them for made purchases on the secondary market instead of spending $185/ea for tickets they could get at just over half the price on StubHub.

It's good the fees have been removed, but how you get to Day 3 of your sale before recognizing and correcting this issue is beyond me. In addition, I left a message more than 4 hours ago and haven't received a return call. That's just poor customer service.

Yes, I understand- strike when the iron is hot. But I can't help think about when times get tough, what will happen to ticket sales.
They will go down.....and at that point MUBB will adjust and increase deals and giveaways. Pretty straightforward.

MUfan12

Uhhhhh.... if y'all struck out earlier you may wanna log back on. Even UW and UConn still available.

Playing UConn...at night...on National Marquette Day...

Could tickets for that game end up being the most expensive in program history?

One amazing thing was just a few short years ago, cheap Marquette tickets were as plentiful as snowflakes in Milwaukee in February.

What a difference a good coach makes!

Don't see any way it can't be.  I think UConn last year would be the current most expensive ticket to date?

Other possible candidates, Gameday vs Pitt, one of the Wisconsin games with Badger fans driving up demand, Mr. Novak introducing us to UConn and the BEast (although I believe that was a weeknight so probably not). Of course all those were at the BMO with a larger supply so probably one of the recent UConn games at the forum.

The BE opener wasn't a sellout.

The game in 2009 against UConn was a real hot ticket as well, with both teams in the top 10.

MUfan12

Just checked and it's down to a few hundred seats left for Purdue, UW, Creighton, and UConn. St. John's is sold out.

Not sure why those tickets for UW and UConn weren't available yesterday until the evening, but if you ran into issues and still want tickets, check today.

MUDPT

Us peasants in the 1500+ points rank can't buy single game seats yet this morning. More problems.

Litehouse

I just got tickets for UW and UConn, and there were about 30 left for each game.

JakeBarnes

Picked up a few extra for the Nova game. No issues with the donation or whatever seems to be appearing for others.

Did it on a macbook with chrome, if that makes any difference.

Thought about some of these, but ticket prices now are significantly higher than 15-20 years ago so I didn't think those would register.

I don't know that answer. Yet, year one at Fiserv Forum, NMD was Villanova was a hot ticket.

I bought 4 extra single game tickets together for UW, UCONN & Creighton Fri morning at 10:15.  Uppers for about $65/ticket on My Marquette Account.  Had to click the secret button in the secret email to make them available to me. And, No extra fees.  What a cluster!!!  Ticket office needs to get their act together.

Still can't get an access code to get the complimentary STH non-conf bonus tickets, but I'm not going to worry about it.  Just glad I got 4 extras for UCONN, UW and Creighton.

Unless MU is struggling I'd say almost certainly.
