Listen, some of you are out of control.   From now until after the election, if you mention a candidate, current president, or even joke about current political events, you'll be forced off the site until after the election.

I've tried to allow some political banter, and issued a few bans.  Right now though, there's too much and I don't want to determine intent anymore.

I agree that this probably was necessary, but it's a shame we can't have rational conversations that might have a political bent.

For example, Yahoo Sports has a piece today on how the election could dramatically affect the future of college sports. That's an interesting topic well worth discussing. But we Scoopers probably wouldn't be able to discuss it like adults - and yes, I'm including myself - so it's a no-go.
