Was a fan of Irving's when I worked on Lasalle and Washington (that was a while ago).  Ate there several times a week, Chicago dogs, no tomato.

Just can't get into Portillo's....not even Vienna beef...some off-brand probably hand picked by Buffet to save money.

Gene and Jude's is ok, but get the damned french fries out of my hot dog.

Ketchup, no way.  Only ND fans put ketchup on a hot dog.

Skin on wieners for chili dogs and coney's.

Little Louie's in Northbrook is my number 1.

When I lived in Chicago I was at Racine and Belmont and used to hit Murphy's all the time but they're closed now. I miss that place

I go: pickle, tomato, mustard, celery salt
Bring back FFP!!!

Chicago style is fine.   I am amused and entertained by the coney wars in Detroit.  Reminds me of the cheesesteak wars in Phillie.   I like them all.   When I have them at home, ketchup, sweet relish, cheese.

The Al McGuire hot dogs made me an MU fan.

Late night Dogg Haus with some cheese curds are money.

Was always a fan of the Dogg Haus. I believe they are still open on Brady St, but I have not been there in quite some time.

Little Louie's is right across the street from the Village Green - a playground and the Pony League field. Was a favorite spot for me, my wife and all 4 kids. Great dogs, great fries and more!

I spent a lot of time at that park as a kid. My grandparents lived at Voltz and Waukegan. Whenever we visited we always hit Little Louie's and when we were kids we'd play in the park

Also after mass at St. Norbert's

I grew up on Ferndale Ave., graduated from St Norbert's in 1962. Played Pony League baseball there in '62 and '63 - my boys played there more than 30 years later. Where the left field corner is now is where home plate was way back when. Maybe I know your grandparents!

Back in the 80s when I could enjoy Hot Dogs, I spent a fair amount of time at The Weiners Circle on Clark, They made the french fries fresh.

Also enjoyed Mustards Last Stand when I would go see a Big Ten Football game in Evanston.

I hear Uncle Frankie's in Nordeast is worthy.

Second superdawg.

Despite it being a gimmick now, wiener circle genuinely makes a delicious hot dog. Their Chocolate shake is less appetizing.

Don't sleep on parkys as they home make their dogs.
