Some second QTR run for TK again

missed his first 3 of the year

but 5 pts on 2/3 with 3 boards and a dime.

As the Bucks continue to flounder, I've thought about what an interesting strategy it would have been for them to take both Kolek and Oso.  4 year college players with great chemistry, unique skill sets, that would seem to integrate well into where the Bucks are weak- PG and a versatile, athletic, strong defender like Oso.

Horst keeps swinging for the fences with guys like Beauchamp and this year's 1st rounder.  Sometimes the best move is to just take proven production and experience over the teenage prospect with potentially higher upside.  Even ones that played in your own arena for 3 and 4 years.

Tyler and Oso wouldn't have helped this Bucks team.

Correct.  The time for those type of players was 3-4 years ago.  With the age of this roster, trying to hit a HR on a Kawhi-type is all they have at the moment

I don't follow the NBA closely, but I do check the box scores for MU guys.  That's a mighty tight rotation in NY.

Thought the same thing.  Thibs isn't messing around.  Must be trying to get some good chemistry with the starting five with the addition of Towns.  But that short of a bench doesn't seem sustainable.

Tyler COLEk

I don't understand how Thibs is still given the leeway to do this. He's wearing down his team for the games that matter most and increasing short- and long-term injury risk.

It's a massive strategic flaw. He would be a truly great coach if he learned to spread minutes around in the regular season.

I feel like Thibs is the guy you hire to elevate your team, but you get rid of him when you are really a contender. He can develop you to that point but won't get you over the hump.

I agree with this analysis.

I would take pretty much anyone over Doc at this point.

To further the point, though, I'm just not sure Thibodeau has ever had a championship roster.  His Bulls teams were good, but they were not as good as the "Heatles" teams (or Cleveland his last year there).  His last 2 years in Minnesota the rosters were fine, but they weren't remotely close to what GS (and other Western Conference teams) were.  And since taking over the Knicks their roster just isn't as good as teams like what the Bucks were or now the C's are.

If I were the Thunder or C's or Nuggets or any other contender, I would have no worries about coaching if Thibs was on my bench.
